*Old Course Balloting

There are many opportunities for golfers to play the Old Course through the balloting process. The ballot is set up for a minimum of two golfers and a maximum of 4. If you have more than one foursome, put in two cards (or ballots) at the same time. It is important to get the names correct because you cannot change names. Do not put in two ballots for the same group of golfers as they will both be rejected.

We would be delighted to ballot for you. We can also make alternative arrangements for play on other St Andrews Courses if you are not selected on the ballot.

The ballot process for the Old Course is to either call the Links Reservations Desk on 01334 466 666 (+441 334 466 666) or stop by the Eden Club House, the Links Club House or the Caddy Shack at the Old Course prior to 2:00pm the day before you want to play. In that the Old is closed on Sundays, you must submit your details on the Saturday for play on the following Monday.

The following information is required for the ballot:
Surname & initial, home golf course, handicap (Minimum 24 for men, 36 for women)

Daily Ballot results are published on the St Andrews Links Web Site at: www.standrews.org.uk and at the Eden Club House, the Links Club House and the Caddy Shack.

Handicap certificates are required on the day of play and presented to the Old Course Starter upon check in.

You must check in with the starter a minimum of 20 minutes prior to your tee time.
